Dubai digital skills council

The Council / Majlis includes representatives from the government and private sectors; it aims to create a reference body of stakeholders concerned with upskilling digital skills in the emirate of Dubai, ensure that there is an attractive and stimulating environment that attracts Emirati human resources, and to ensure that the educational outcomes of Emirati students are aligned with the requirements of the labor market needs according to strategic priority sectors.

 

The Council also envisions developing the universities’ educational programs and facilitating the upskilling programs for Emiratis to increase their engagement and participation in the private sector labor market, coordinating with stakeholders to provide appropriate career opportunities which help in the development strategies of Emirati human resources.

The members of the board

The members of this board are serving as advisors providing support and advice to academic programs, assist in the development of new programs, and identify best-practice standards. 

 

The board will also provide feedback from the market on the skills supplied by universities in an effort to close the gap between the demand of skills in the market and the skills being supplied by graduates and employees.
